Lions Gate HOA Meeting
The Lions Gate Homeowners Association met March 13.
Minutes of the meeting and the Management Agency's report can be read by selecting the Board of Directors button above.
The Annual Meeting of the Association will be at 7 p.m., May 22, at the West Broad Street Elementary School.

About Lions Gate

Lions Gate is an attractive 55-and-over community situated on approximately 54 acres with a total of 156 homes. The first residents moved in during the Fall of 1996 and settlement on the last new home occurred early in 2000.

Within the Lions Gate community there is a clubhouse with meeting and party facilities, an activities center with workout facilities, a swimming pool, two tennis courts, several shuffleboard courts and a walking path.

The photo above is the original homestead of Ludwig Hangey, who in 1733 purchased land now known as Lions Gate. Read a brief history of the community by clicking here.

The community spans the north and south sides of West Broad Street in Franconia Township, bordering the Borough of Souderton, Pennsylvania. Lions Gate is situated within the Souderton Area School District.

intersectionplanMore Than 200 Attended Public Meeting on the West Broad-Cowpath-Godshall Road Intersection Plans

PennDOT and Franconia Township held a Public Open House on October 24, 2011, at the West Broad Street Elementary School to describe plans for the Cowpath-West Broad-Godshall Road intersection. It was reported that construction will begin in late 2012 or early 2013 and most of the work will be done during 2013. Township Manager Kevin Baver said that the project will cost approximately $4 million, with 80 percent coming from federal funds and 20 percent from the the state. He said funding for the project is in place through 2013.
