Lions Gate
Souderton PA

is an attractive and active adult community located on
both the north and south sides of a section of West Broad Street in
Franconia
Township in
Montgomery County,
Pennsylvania.
It is situated on approximately 54 acres and there are a total of 156 homes.
The first residents moved in during the Fall of 1996 and settlement on the
last new home occurred early in 2000. Lions Gate is situated within
the Souderton
Area School District and the eastern-most boundary of the
community abuts the Borough of Souderton. Within the Lions Gate
community, there is a Club House, an Activities Center with workout
facilities, a swimming pool, two tennis courts, several shuffleboard courts,
and a walking path.

Hail and Farewell
Ah, a grand event it was, on Wednesday, May
20th, in the Clubhouse! Bidding farewell to 7-year term
director, Liz Reichwein, and welcoming Thelma Becker as our
newest director. Many thanks go out to Liz for her many years of
service, and many thanks to Thelma for stepping up and being
willing to fill this post. Also, many thanks to all those who
planned and carried out this celebration. A good time was had by
all. P.S. Let's ALL get behind, not only Thelma, but also Hugh
and Al, to make their terms in office as rewarding and pleasant
as possible.

Board of Directors Meeting
The next Board meeting will take place on Tuesday,
July 21, 2009 at 9:30 am in the Clubhouse.

Congratulations are hereby extended to
Thelma Becker for her election as a Director to the Board at its meeting
on May 5, and our appreciation is extended to the outgoing Director, Liz

Pool Opening
Wow, what a wonderful turnout. How blessed we
are! We had 17 volunteers show up at 10:00 am on Monday, May 11,
to 'do it all'! The pool furniture was brought up from the
basement of the Activity Center, scrubbed down, and washed off.
It was then placed neatly around the perimeter of the pool. The
canopies were erected (not without a little difficulty), and it
now looks inviting. All we need is a little warm weather! Check
out the photos below! Oh, and for those who remained around for
the final chores, thanks to Harvey for the hoagies!
